Choosing Good Treatments For Cerebral Palsy With Sensory Integration Approach

The sensory integration is the brain ‘s ability to organize sensations from the world around us and from our own body for use, the brain must organize all of these sensations for a person to learn and behave functionally. When the brain is able to organize sensation well. The brain uses the sensations from perceptions and behaviours. The organization of sensations for use is called sensory integration.

Children with cerebral palsy and when the brain does a poor job of integrating sensations may have behavioural problems and may reach motor milestones such us rolling, crawling and walking need treatments for cerebral palsy with sensory integration.

Sensory integration theory emphasizes that tactile, proprioceptive, and vestibular systems contribute to development of muscle tone, automatic ractions, and emotional well being. Inadequate processing of sensory input may negatively impact motor, cognitive and social emotional areas of development. Treatments for cerebral palsy with sensory integration was developed to help cerebral palsy children who present problems in motor, cognitive and socio emotional development that are related to inadequate sensory processing.

The treatments for cerebral palsy with sensory integration began through the work of jean Ayres. As a scientist and occupational therapist. The aims of treatments for cerebral palsy with sensory integration is understanding how processing of sensory input impacts normal development and contributes to state of dysfunction and and the focus of treatments for cerebral palsy with sensory integration is normalizing sensory processing and integration to produce adaptive responses , improvement of learning and behavoiur.

The approach is characterized by assessment and treatments for cerebral palsy of sensory system, or how a person perceives the environment and tasks through position, movement, sight, touch, sound and smell. Since children with cerebral palsy may experience the environment differently than a person without neurodevelopmental delay.

Their Auditory Activation Method builds on the pioneering work of Dr. Alfred Tomatis (Tomatis method) and Dr. Guy Bérard (Auditory Integration Training) and has been specifically developed with the aim to improve sensory processing, interhemispheric integration and cognitive functioning. It has helped many children and adults with a wide range of learning and developmental difficulties, ranging from dyslexia, dyspraxia and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder to sensory processing disorders and autism. It is not a cure or medical intervention, but a structured training programme that can help alleviate some of the debilitating effects that these conditions can have on speech and physical ability, daily behaviour, emotional well-being and educational or work performance.

There is no catch, it’s absolutely free and most importantly often effective. Check it out at: http://www.uk.sascentre.com/uk_free.html.
